Frequently Asked Questions

  • I am in-network with a number of insurance plans from Aetna and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. Many other insurance plans include out-of-network benefits, which can help offset the cost of treatment. I will help you understand your out-of-network benefits and give you a properly formatted bill to file for reimbursement from your insurance company. If you do not have in-network or out-of-network benefits, I also offer a sliding scale and will work with you to ensure that treatment is affordable.

  • Reach out through the “book appointment” form at the top of the page, or through the contact form at the bottom. I will get back to you shortly and help you through the challenging first steps in the treatment process.

  • No. The initial consultation is free of charge.

  • This is a large topic, and one could approach it in many different ways. For now, I will say this: unlike other forms of therapy, psychoanalytic therapy aims at structural changes in the way that we think, act, and experience. The process takes time, but these changes often coincide with a sense of levity and pleasure—a lightening of one’s load—and a renewed ability to express oneself—to find one’s signature, one’s singularity, and then put it into play.
